Catalogues¶

A catalogue is a folder of small files, one per entry, curated by inovaea and signed. Picking an entry is how a board, a device or a chip enters a project — instead of typing addresses out of a manual.

Boards¶

To be written. Covers: the four kinds of entry — a chip module, a dev kit, a wiring preset and a finished board — and how each carries its pinout, its fitted memory and the runtime built for it. Listed in the hardware reference.

Devices¶

To be written. Covers: CANopen devices from their EDS file, and Modbus devices from a register map. What is already written about the Modbus side is under Modbus.

Peripheral chips¶

To be written. Covers: the chips that hang on the local I²C and SPI buses. See peripherals and system services.

Signed and unsigned¶

To be written. Covers: entries shipped by inovaea are signed, and the lower licence levels load only signed ones. A signature says the combination has been checked, not merely that it probably works. See licensing.

Adding your own entry¶

To be written. Covers: the naming convention, why a renamed entry becomes a new file rather than an edited one, and why the numbered identifier space belongs to the curator.
